With a great number of itineraries in Europe, the company is also expanding to include river cruise choices in China, Vietnam and Cambodia, along the Mississippi in the United States. They have also expanded into South America with cruises to the Galapagos Islands and are introducing cruises on the Amazon out of Iquitos, Peru.
To quote form their website: On an Avalon Waterways river cruise, “included” is the name of the game. Spacious outside staterooms with expansive riverscape views – included. VIP access into the must-see sights – included. Your choice of enriching shore excursions led by Certified Local Guides – included. WiFi access – Included. Sparkling wines with breakfast, regional wines and beers at every onboard dinner, and unlimited lattes and premium coffees – included. And we are proud to offer Avalon Choice, an exciting concept in river cruising that gives you the freedom to personalize so many elements of your cruise.
Each year they introduced new purpose-built ships into their fleet as the increasing popularity of cruising allows them to expand the number and variety of destinations.
